Since the inception of the Alex Summers’s Legacy of Faith Foundation in 2012, an average of $8000-10,000 has been provided annually for the following

College Scholarships
Mission Trip Scholarships
Days For Girls
Transportation for missionaries
Penn Christian Academy
Education and basic needs for orphans in Africa

Goal

The Alexis “Alex” Summers Scholarship Fund was created to provide financial assistance to one or more graduating high schools students. The successful recipient(s) will exemplify Christian attributes and a servant hood as demonstrated by Alex Summers during her lifetime.

Guidelines

Application:
- Based on service in the community rather than academics.
- Based on demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ and active participation in mission and ministry of a congregation.
- Based on a life exemplary of the qualities portrayed by Alex.
- Available to students in good standing who are pursuing their first year of post high school education at an accredited 4 year college or university; an accredited community college; or an accredited vocational institution.
Awards per academic year:
- The number of awards per year will be determined by the Alexis “Alex” Summers Scholarship Foundation Team. The monies will be distributed to one Knoch student and one student chosen from a school within the Butler, Armstrong, and Allegheny Counties. The monies will be distributed so that the Knoch student may receive up to $2,500.00 and the other student may receive up to $1,500.00 but no less than $500.00.
Application Process:
- All applications must be received no later than March 1st. A review of the applications will be conducted by the Alexis Summers Scholarship Foundation Team and the scholarships will be awarded no later than May 15th at the recipient’s school.
